There is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Jesus Christ is God the Son and is true God and true man (Phil 2:5-8).
Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18 & 23), led a sinless life, took on Himself all our sins (Romans 5:8-9), died on the cross, and rose again to forever live (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator (Hebrews 9:15) and advocate (1 John 2:1).
The Bible is God’s Word, uniquely and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and is authoritative on all matters on which it speaks (2 Peter 1:20-21).
All people sin and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and will face eternal separation from God unless they come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17). Salvation is a free gift from God apart from any works (Ephesians 2:8-9) that can only be received by faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12, Galatians 2:16). In obedience we adhere to what Apostle Peter said to be saved; “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts 2:38)
God works through the members of His church to evangelize the lost and teach believers to obey His commands (Matthew 28:18-20). Kingsway Christian Church is to be open to and accepting of all people, offering God’s love and redemption to each person without prejudice or condemnation (John 3:16-18). However, in our efforts to reach out, we also must take care to uphold the Word of God, and not engage in moral compromise (Romans 12:2) or affirm any sin such as sexual immorality, idolatry, adultery, homosexuality, stealing, greed, drunkenness, slander, swindling (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), murder, strife, deceit, malice, gossip (Romans 1:21-32), witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, factions, or envy (Galatians 5:19-21).
God’s people are called to holiness in all aspects of life (Galatians 5:22-25), with the goal of being conformed to the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29).
Kingsway Christian Church adheres to the historical, orthodox biblical teaching about homosexuality and marriage. We believe that ALL people sin and are in need of God’s grace and forgiveness. Kingsway Christian Church also believes that churches should not affirm sin because sin separates people from God. We agree with the Bible when it says that homosexuality including same sex marriage is sinful and not God’s design.
May grace and peace be upon you all! May God bless you through Jesus Christ our Lord!
LOOKING BACKWARD: The Lord God has been continually true and faithful to His word. He has allowed us to march on victoriously through all the restrictions and lockdowns so that now, our province has finally opened up. We are now able to gather freely in person without the restrictions that we have had during the past couple of years.
We started the month with a new preaching series that was geared for the launching of our small groups called The King’s Group. “Restoring The House Church” has encouraged us into going back to what the New Testament church was doing; gathering together in homes, remaining in the apostles’ teaching, in fellowship, in breaking of bread and in prayer.
LOOKING INWARD: As your pastoral team we encourage and challenge you to committing yourselves to God and to these small groups. We encourage you to dedicate a portion of your time and resources toward relationship development, first with God, with fellow believers and with your neighbours who are seeking God in their lives. We call on you to raise up the banner of the Lord so that His precious Name is lifted up in your communities. We spur you on to say your prayers to bring your unsaved friend to Christ. We stir you up to say to your neighbour, “Come and see!” so as to bring a first-timer to your small groups. And we encourage you to start with your family and your friends.
LOOKING FORWARD: It has always been the vision of Kingsway Christian Church to saturate the communities where we live in with the blessed gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We may not know it, but our communities are suffering from alienation from God. We yearn to see that our communities are flooded with the good news of the gospel, but there are a lot of obstacles to hurdle in our lives as we seek to fulfill the vision. With the forthcoming launch of the King’s Group east and west, we look forward to growth not only numerically but more importantly, spiritually. Through these small groups, leaders will be honed and sharpened, and talents will be used to the glory of God the Father!
LOOKING UPWARD: The Apostle Peter wrote, “Like newborn babies hungry for milk, you should want the pure teaching that fed your spirit. With it you can grow up and be saved. You have already tasted the goodness of the Lord” (1 Peter 2:2-3). What better way can our craving for the pure teaching of God’s word be satisfied than by a more personal approach? And this can be easily done through King’s Groups. By gathering in smaller numbers, we can spend more time in fellowship, in sharing of the word, in bearing one another’s burdens and in prayer. Each one of us are called by God, set apart, holy unto Him. And God has chosen you to tell about the good news to everyone because we represent Jesus in our home, in our community and in the world around us. You all are the living letters that the world can read to the glory of God the Father. And the Lord Jesus has promised to “always be with you even to the ends of the earth!”
